Employee Spotlight - Tracy Blacketer - Stewart Home & School

Employee Spotlight – Tracy Blacketer

What a pleasure it is for me to introduce into our November Spotlight our Assistant Director of Residential Services, Tracy Blacketer. Tracy came to Stewart Home & School in July, 2013 to be the Supervisor for our Self-Care Ladies. She was offered and accepted a promotion to Assistant Director, Residential Services in January, 2016, where she continues to work side by side with Tamy Blau.

Tracy is uniquely suited to wok at Stewart Home & School, having a special needs sister herself and having been a dormer manager of a small nursing home. She had a hard time coming up with just one favorite memory, but recalls when she was training Cliff Martin on Springhill Up, Andrew started calling Cliff “Shampoo”, which he still does today and kept saying ” I Tracy’s boy!”, which he still does today. He even told his parents, “I Tracy’s boy!”

What Tracy says she loves most about SH&S is the atmosphere. She loves the staff and students. She loves the way everyone is treated like family and not just a number and declares she tells everyone what a wonderful place this is to work.

Tracy is looking forward to her first grandchild (baby girl) expected in March. She is big on family and loves spending time with her Aunt Laura and all of her family. She also enjoys shopping, going to movies and gardening in her spare time. A new granddaughter and a grandmother who loves to shop- the wallet is going to take a hit!

Our students adore Tracy – and she says she loves them all. We love her for that for so much more and are so happy to have her as part of our Stewart Home “Family”!!!

We are so thankful for all you do Tracy! Not only do we pray for our son daily, but we include all the staff at SHS and those who serve and care for him. God bless you and yours.
