Myles Young began his career at Stewart Home & School in May of 2017. Along with overseeing the Media and Marketing Department, he also assists Michael Uber within the Information Technology department. Born and raised in Lawrenceburg, KY, Myles grew up just a few short miles down the road! He said he was drawn to work for Stewart Home & School because of their mission statement helping individuals with intellectual disabilities.
When asked about his best memory since working here, he said that he has too many and can’t pick just one. From helping plan events such as Family Weekend, to working with students and staff on marketing campaigns, he said he enjoys all aspects of his job! The biggest change that Myles has seen since starting his career at SHS was when COVID-19 began and all students were sent home for a period of time. However, with the help of other staff, Myles was able to implement and ultimately produce the widely popular Zoom Daily Show that aired over 350 episodes. He said being able to help keep students together virtually, while apart, was very fulfilling!
Myles’ File:
Favorite Season
“Don’t necessarily have a favorite, he enjoys aspects of each season”
Favorite Restaurant
“Qdoba”
Favorite Vacation
“Sanibel & Captiva Island”
In his spare time, Myles enjoys spending time with family and friends. Looking back on what he’s known for, he stated he’s heavily involved in community events and makes guest appearances around the holidays as a professional Grinch… however, he states he spreads a positive message. When asked the craziest thing that has ever happened to him, he said being an identical triplet has provided a list of unforgettable experiences. In 2015 his family was cast on Family Feud with Steve Harvey and appeared on two episodes. He and his brothers were also cast to portray ghost hunters on a new ghost hunting show slated to air on the Travel Channel. Unfortunately, that project seized operations when COVID began and the project was eventually dropped. He said it was still a fun experience to work with the producer and learn the inner workings of reality TV.
From my perspective as a supervisor, Myles is creative, eager to assist and fun to be around.
