A typical day at Stewart Home & School starts early – waking up to beautiful views out of every window and to friends sharing goals for the day. There’s so much to look forward to and to discuss over breakfast and then it’s off to class or work or to some special outing.
All day, every day, there are classes, scheduled job assignments, meetings and so many extracurricular activities – horseback riding, yoga, swimming, aerobics, dance classes, Bible study, guitar lessons…and then there are Special Olympics practices and competitions in every sport. But there’s always time in one’s own room or Correspondent classroom to reflect upon it all.
Each student has interests, talents, skills and desires. The school relies upon the direction and collaboration of the loving people who are involved in each student’s life – and most of all – the students themselves. This life (“My happy home!” as Lindsay calls it) encompasses everyone involved in Stewart Home & School’s mission and purpose.
