SHS Students Participate in a 66-Year-Old Franklin County Parade Tradition

Seventeen of our wonderful students enjoyed riding on the 2014 Christmas Float from Stewart Home & School on December, 6, in the Jaycee’s Christmas Parade in Frankfort, Kentucky. Our “angels” waved and cheered, entertaining the crowds on the sidewalks, earning them the Christmas Spirit Award! The Jaycee’s Franklin County Christmas Parade featured our float “Angels Among Us”, along with many other wonderful floats.

The Jaycees awarded the following awards to floats in the parade:

Best Theme Award:  St. John Baptist Church

Christmas Spirit Award:  Stewart Home School

Kid’s Choice Award:  Triple Crown Cowboy Church

Reason for the Season Award:  Good Shepherd Catholic Church

 Chairman’s Choice Award:  Franklin County 4-H Livestock Club
