Three prestigious awards are given out to employees who exemplify excellence in the following categories:

Creativity: utilizes imagination/inventiveness in a beneficial manner.

Interpersonal Relationships: Willingness and demonstrated ability to effectively cooperate, work, and communicate with supervisors, co-workers, students and outside contacts.

Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Adheres to and support company and departmental policies, rules and procedures.

Professionalism: Exhibits a controlled, mature, constructive attitude and behavior.

Dependability: Exhibits reliability and trustworthiness.

Flexibility: Easily adapts to changes in the work environment. Open to new ideas.

Judgement/Decision Making: Demonstrates the ability to form appropriate opinions by the careful study of all available facts and options.

Training/Development: Displays individual initiative to enhance skills and knowledge.

Shining Star Award

This award is being presented to an employee with at least three months but less than one year of service, who has already demonstrated outstanding abilities in the areas of attitude, cooperation, dependability, performance, work ethic, and dedication to Stewart Home & School and its students. This year, the award goes to two people: Ricky & Rita Shain – houseparents.

Above and Beyond Award

This award is being presented to an employee with at least one year of service, who consistently and routinely goes above and beyond the scope of their responsibilities to meet the needs of Stewart Home & School and it’s students.

This year, the award goes to Melinda Claypool!

John P. Stewart Award of Excellence

This award is being presented to an employee with at least one year of service, who exemplifies excellence in the areas of attitude, cooperation, dependability, performance, work ethic, and dedication to Stewart Home and it’s students.
