One In A Million - Stewart Home & School

One In A Million

This song was written by a Stewart Home & School student, Lauren. She wrote it and performed at the SHS Pageant. What bravery!

One In A Million

Who are you to say that I’m not normal;

Normal is just a setting on a dryer.

Who are you to say that I’m not worth it;

I am specially made.

Who are you to say I am a mistake;

God doesn’t make mistakes.

Then try to tell me that I’m not worth it;

That everything I do is wrong.

I’m sorry that I’m not perfect; I’m sorry that I’m human just like you.

I’m an extraordinary girl.

All I want is to be loved; to find the place I belong.

Just give me the time and I will amaze you.

I’ll show you what I can do – I’m on in a million!

I’m sick of you pushing me around and telling me I don’t belong here.

‘Cause I don’t remember asking for your opinion.

Just because I am different doesn’t mean I can’t do anything I put my mind to – I will amaze you!

Chorus:

Because I am one in a million: I am specially made.

I am loves by the One who made me.

I will hold my head high.

Your words aren’t going to ruin my day.
