February Student of the Month

Each month at Stewart Home & School we award four students “student of the month” as we strive to celebrate our students and their hard work, resilience, and motivation to keep working in the classroom.  One male student of the month and one female student of the month is chosen from the pre-academic program as well as from the academic program to be recognized.  The teachers and superintendent select the students based upon their previous work.  Not only are we assessing who has progressed in the classroom and is succeeding academically, but we consider who is demonstrating responsibility by arriving to class on time and completing assigned work; we assess which students have made the most individual progress; and we seek to honor those who are exemplifying the school’s values, such as respect for peers, honesty, and a positive attitude.
