Richie’s Review

Dave Thomas started a restaurant in Columbus, Ohio called Wendy’s. Yesterday we went to Wendy’s for lunch. It is a fast food restaurant so you expect your food to come fast. And it came fast. The servers were nice. Jeff had a Cheeseburger, Fries, and a lemonade. David had a Cheeseburger, Fries and a sprite with no ice. I had a 10 piece Chicken Nugget, fries and a coke zero with no ice. Peggy had an Apple Pecan Chicken Salad and a water. It was a  very reasonable price for the 4 of us.

We also went to Starbucks. Starbucks started in Seattle as a coffee shop. Now they serve much more. David and I got a Chocolate Chip Cookie. Jeff got a Strawberrys n cream Frappucino, and Peggy had a hot tea. The servers were good and fast. Starbucks is a little pricey but it was a good special treat.

Stewart Home & School is a residential school for people of all ages with intellectual disabilities. The mission of Stewart Home & School is the complete and total care of its students and the fulfillment of all their needs – physical, educational, social, vocational and spiritual. The faculty of the school program has experience with the learning styles of people with Autism, Down’s syndrome, Fragile X syndrome, and Williams syndrome, as well as other intellectual disability diagnoses.  It is the objective of the school program to create successful learning experiences for all students and to consistently reinforce the students’ enthusiastic motivation for participation and further growth.  There are high expectations for each individual and it is a joy to see successes celebrated each day!
