Preparations are well under way for our 2012 Family Weekend: “It’s a Wonderful Life”! Our classes have been rehearsing their parts for the Spring Play since early February, and we will all have our 2nd rehearsal on stage next week.

Another exciting part of our Family weekend is the “Big Announcement” made on Thursday night. It is then that our Director, Sandra Bell, announces what students have been chosen to represent Stewart Home School at this year’s conferences.

We will be going to 3 different conferences this summer: The Williams Syndrome Association National Convention, the 40th Annual Down Syndrome Congress, and the 13th International Fragile X Conference. It is such an honor to be selected to attend these conferences. Our students are wonderful ambassadors of the school, and they work hard at these events, making new friends and telling everyone about their busy lives at SHS.

Just 2 months until the big weekend: May 17-19, 2012! Hope to see you there!
