Family Weekend 2012: It's a Wonderful Life

Johnny Mathis’ song, “Wonderful, Wonderful!” Is still ringing in our ears and echoing in our hearts now that the weekend has come to a close..
Family Weekend WAS wonderful, wonderful! So many said it was “the BEST play ever!” And our standing room only crowd was definitely the most wonderful audience we could have ever imagined! Just as Will’s Aunt Kathy was singing as they left, it WAS “some kind of Wonderful-“!

And Friday’s weather could not have been more perfect. ( Frankfort’s mayor AND our county judge executive BOTH took the credit for it!)
Our own mayor, Alisa, and our family speakers paid tribute to the love and the care that we experience here every day. It surely is a wonderful life at Stewart Home School, just as this year’s theme proclaimed and this year’s Family Weekend simply celebrated it all!!
The Parade, seminars, building receptions and activities, and the dance culminated in a spectacular fireworks display and then as people left and things quieted down everyone looked forward to Saturday’s activities.

And Saturday was just as Wonderful and beautiful!! The road run, fishing, bingo and bowling were filled with joy!
That song agains come to mind….
“The world is filled with wondrous things, it’s true.
But they wouldn’t have much meaning without you….”

It is a wonderful life at Stewart Home School and having our families and our friends with us made it all the more wonderful! Thank you, thank you!!!!
