It is so appropriate that Jessie Russell be recognized as our Employee Spotlight during the month of December. She is one of the biggest fans of the Christmas season there is!! She has had her building decorated since mid November.

Jesses came to Stewart Home & School a little over four years ago as a substitute house parent. Within a few months, Camelot needed a new houseparent and Jessie accepted our offer to make Camelot her permanent role. She has been there ever since. Jessie’s love for her ladies is apparent in everything she does. If you ask Becca, she will tell you, “She’s my mama!”

Jessie says her favorite memories are made with every moment she spends with “her girls”.

Jessie feels that what has changed the most since she came to Stewart Home & School is the access ou students have to technology, which has helped them be more aware of what is happening in the world. She believes what has stayed the same is the constant need for and every department striving for improved communication.

If she has not come to Stewart Home & School, Jessie said she would have probably worked with the babies at the Galilean Home. She spends her free time at the gym, which has helped her lose over 100 pounds!!!! She also loves to read and do crafts.

Jessie says her family would say that she is most famous for her sassy comebacks and witty humor. I’m sure the Camelot ladies would agree – that’s part of why they love her so much.

Although working at the Galilean Home is a very noble vocation, we are thrilled that Jessie chose us. She truly shows her ladies the love and compassion that any mother/family would. We are blessed to have her be a part of the Stewart Home & School family.
