Dr. Shelley Sellwood-Davis graduated from the University of Kentucky on Friday, December 16,2016 at the Lexington Center’s Rupp Arena. She received her Doctor of Education Degree with her major in Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation. Her dissertation was entitled, “An Internal Evaluation of a Health Program for Adults with Mild, Moderate and Severe Intellectual Disabilities”.
Many of our families, students and staff participated in the Evaluation and in addition to the achievement of her degree, assisted Shelley in assessing Stewart Home School’s health program. The results of her efforts will benefit our future planning and encourage other programs to develop activities and strategies that will lead to better health for individuals with intellectual disabilities wherever they are served.
We are so very proud of Dr. Shelley!!!
She is currently representing the school at the National Association of Private Special Education Centers conference in California. We hope you will join us in congratulating her on the successful completion of her doctorate and especially for her devotion to enhancing the lives of all people with intellectual disabilities!
Dr. Shelley
