Today we celebrate Savannah and her integrity. People with Down syndrome have great integrity and will do what needs to be done for their friends and family!
At Stewart Home & School, the students, including those who have a diagnosis of Down syndrome, are encouraged to be independent and be active creators in their day-to-day lives. Students have the opportunity to attend classes, without an upper age limit; to take classes focused on vocational training in which the goal may be to work or volunteer either off or on-campus; to participate in recreational and extracurricular activities; and to be as independent and self-sufficient as possible. Above all else, we strive to provide an environment where our students are embraced for being whoever they decide to be.
