This week, our annual Stewart’s Got Talent show lit up the stage with creativity, courage, and incredible performances from our talented students. From heartfelt singing and energetic dancing to comedy routines and musical acts, each performance was a unique expression of our students’ individuality and joy.
The event brought our community together to cheer, laugh, and celebrate the confidence and spirit of everyone who participated. We’re so proud of each performer for sharing their gifts with us and making it a night to remember!
SH&S Hits the Airwaves!
Two of our talented students recently joined Music Director Michael Ghant on WKYT’s Everyday Kentucky to share the joy and impact of our music program at Stewart Home & School. During the segment, they spoke about their experiences, favorite performances, and how music has helped them grow both creatively and personally. It was a heartwarming spotlight on the power of music within our school community.

Who’s ready for some basketball? ![]()
Our very own Stewart Home Panthers will be competing this weekend in Louisville at the 2025 SOKY State Basketball Tournament + Skills Competition at the MidAmerica Sports Center!
We will tip off at 11:30AM on Saturday vs. The Louisville Cheetahs and begin at 10:30AM on Sunday for the Skills Competition!
Yesterday our staff welcomed with open arms Special Olympics Kentucky’s new Executive Director, Angie Cruse-Tinch!
Over the past 14 years, Angie has worked with Girl Scouts in both Lexington and Louisville with a heavy focus on programming, strategy, and community engagement.
Angie was drawn to Special Olympics Kentucky for a variety of reasons- her nephew Garner, her work with individuals with intellectual disabilities, and her love of sports and what it can offer to all of us.
“I watched my nephew Garner compete in the 2023 State Games and I was completely hooked. The talent of the athletes and their hard work being celebrated in front of their friends, family, and community was an amazing experience that I wished I could bottle and take with me.” – Angie Cruse-Tinch
Thank you Angie for taking the time to meet with us and we look forward to a tremendous relationship for years to come!

We are thrilled to announce that our very own Kristi Burke has completed her coursework to become a ‘Sensory Safe Stylist’ here at Stewart Home & School.
Kristi is our cosmetologist and has recently completed a course designed to provide an elevated learning experience to industry professionals eager to meet the needs of guests with autism or sensory processing differences.
The curriculum for the course includes numerous tools and systems, creating trust not trauma, behind the chair.
Congratulations, Kristi!

A Day at the Theater!
On Sunday, March 2nd, Theatre Arts teacher Chase Clark took the Principal Cast to see the Addams Family Musical at the Lexington Opera House in preparation for their next SHS production. A good time was had by all!
Below are a few pictures from the event!

On Friday, February 21st we had a magnificent experience in which some of our SHS students performed at the halftime show of a Western Hills basketball game. They had an incredible time, as you can see in the photos! We love seeing our students shine at Stewart Home & School!
