Current Openings

Equine Assistant

The Equestrian Program is an integral part of the school and involves nearly half of the school population. The beautiful equine facility is designed with the students and horses in mind. Lessons are taught five days a week in English and Western style riding, driving, and classroom sessions. Please check out our website www.stewarthome.com for a more in-depth view of our school.

Following is some information regarding the position:

• Regular Scheduled Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00-4:30 p.m., two evenings per week 5:45-7:45 p.m. (assisting Recreation Staff), weekend horse care
• Good salary and benefits.
• Seeking candidates with appropriate Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Seeking candidate comfortable with draft horses
• Seeking candidates who are PATH Intl. registered or willing to become certified
• Seeking candidates who are CPR/First Aid/AED certified or willing to become certified

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Create and teach riding, driving, and classroom lessons with director supervision
• Assist in daily barn management such as scheduling vet/farrier, ordering feed, etc.
• Assist in coaching Equestrian Special Olympics
• Supervise student workers and help maintain cleanliness of facilities
• Solid experience working with horses
• Solid riding skills
• Experience teaching mounted and classroom lessons
• Assist in other departments as needed
• MUST BE PATIENT, POSITIVE, SAFETY-MINDED and HAVE GREAT COMMUNICATION SKILLS!

Recreation/Summer Recreation

The recreation staff provides activities and supervision during activity time for our students. This can include structured activities or certain areas that allow for the students to do what they want to do; however, those areas must be supervised. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

There is an opportunity to work 40 hours a week during the summer (May – August) with our summer recreation programming. The schedule for our summer programming is Sunday – Wednesday 8:15 a.m. – 7:45 p.m. or Wednesday – Saturday 8:15 a.m. – 7:45 p.m. Housing would be available during this summer program.

This position would transition to part-time after August with scheduled hours within the below recreation times.

Recreation hours are Monday – Friday from 5:45pm – 7:45pm and Saturday – Sunday from 8:15am-11:45am, 12:45am – 4:45pm and 5:45pm – 7:45pm.

CNA/CMA

Unique and rewarding opportunity to join the Student Health Clinic Team.

CNA or CMA preferred; however, it is not required. Schedule is a rotating 2 week schedule of Monday/Tuesday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Wednesday and Thursday from 8am-8pm. A rotating On-Call schedule is also required for this position.

Must be at least 21 years of age, have a clean background check and driver’s license/good driver record.

Nightwatch/Security Caregiver

Are you a night owl? Do you love helping people? We have the perfect position for you!

Come join our Student Health Team as a caregiving Nightwatch/Security member. We are seeking a caring and compassionate person to oversee and take care of our students during the night shift. Currently, we are looking for the following schedules:
1. Full-time 9:00 p.m. – 5:30 a.m. candidate to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday (off work Wednesday and Sunday night).
2. Full-time Wednesday-Sunday (Wednesday is 9:00 p.m. – 5:30 a.m., Thursday-Sunday is 10:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
3. Part-Time Monday 10:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., Friday and Saturday 7:00 p.m. – 3:30 a.m.
4. This department also has a need for some call-in members to possibly cover periodically. This could include a 7:00 p.m. – 3:30 a.m., a 9:00 p.m. – 5:30 a.m. or a 10:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. shift.

Must be at least 21 Years of age, have good verifiable work/character references, and have a clean background and driving record.

CDL Driver

Seeking mature, dependable person to join the School Program team. Driving may include on-campus and local transportation, field trips, airports, etc.

Candidates must be at least 21 years old, have a clean background check, good driver record and solid work experience. Prefer candidates with Class B – C.D.L. license.
